Bucket Filling and Problem Solving

Today we had a wonderful lesson from one of our fabulous guidance counselors, Mrs. Ellenberger.  We have been working on becoming peacemakers and solving our problems using Kelso's Choice, a conflict management skills program.  Please enjoy this link with great activities and a bit of history about the program:  http://kelsoschoice.com/free-fun/

We drew a way that we could be kind in school or at home and created a kindness chain.  We love lessons from our guidance counselors!

100th Day Continued!

We worked very hard on our necklaces with 100 Fruit Loops!
We were very proud of our hard work!
To top off our day, we had a snack...guess the number!  :)

Happy 100th Day of Kindergarten!

We had a great time celebrating the 100th day of Kindergarten.  We read 100th day themed books and looked at a real one hundred dollar bill!  We also spent time during Writer's Workshop thinking of fabulous ways to spend $100 dollars!  During math we made 100 Day Necklaces out of Fruit Loops!  We were very proud of our creations.  What an exciting day.  More pictures to come!

Happy Valentine's Day from K3!

Happy Valentine's Day from Mrs. Medlin's Kindergarten!  Although the snow tried to put a damper on things we celebrated in style with a bit of math review.  We sorted candy hearts and created an object graph.  We then graphed our data.  We also snacked on a couple hearts along the way.
